Visda Slasher's Gaffs Shop

In early 1980's, Mr. Braulio "Boy" Ondrade Visda III worked for Ampy's Gaff & Slasher's Shop, owned by Agapito "Ampy" Baria, one of the most popular knife maker in the Philippines. He was a helper in the shop, and later was given an opportunity to learn the trade of making knives, while being a student at the same time...

After he graduated in 1985, he decided to be a gaff shop owner rather than being employed to other companies. His co-worker enticed him to put up their own shop in Pampanga, a province in the Philippines where SABONG/ Cockfighting is very popular. After a year, his partner decided to set up his own shop, and ended up their partnership.

Another partnerships were made after that, but just the same, when the business grew bigger, his partners decided to solely own a shop. His old time customers encouraged him to manage the shop on his own, as they promised that they will continue to support him by loyally ordering knives from him.

That was in 1988, when he finally used VISDA SLASHER'S GAFFS SHOP as his business name.
