My BaBy BuMp!- Week 17



My Body:

  • I still weigh 133 lbs, and is expecting to gain few more pounds next week.
  • Doctor advised me to take Obynal-M (multivitamins) and Trev-Iron (B-complex and Iron) 
  • I always feel round ligament pain, typically experienced as aching and/or stabbing pains in the lower stomach and pelvic region and is most often reported at the end of the day.
    • Ligament Pain is totally normal and is caused by the stretching of ligaments and muscles that support your ever-growing uterus. (Source: Baby Gaga on Facebook)
    • Doctors advise sleeping on your left side, as lying on your back can compress your pelvic veins, decreasing blood flow to the lower half of your body. Lying on your left side relieves this pressure thereby allowing normal blood flow. (Source: Baby Gaga on Facebook)
      • Before I've read this, I have found myself comfortable sleeping on my left side. Now I know the reasons why. =)
  • They say Migraine/ Severe headache is also normal. That, sometimes I really can't take. =( (Hormones, fatigue, tension, or some other culprit causes headaches.)
  • I always make sure that I'd stay hydrated because dehydration can cause occasional dizziness or faintness.

  • Baby has added another half inch to his/her height which made him/her nearly half a foot long.
  • He/She is now becoming capable of hearing and reacting to sounds even though his/her ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional.
  • Our Baby is now practicing survival skills he/she will need at birth like sucking and swallowing.
