Week 27: the end stage... =)

Image
Sometimes, it's really frustrating that since I got pregnant, there are many things that I can no longer do... Either I was restricted to do things, or I just can't... Heartburn, fatigue, and difficulty of breathing are my worst enemies. But by just feeling my baby's movements in my tummy, I'd start forgetting all the negatives, and it would make me feel happy. This pregnancy gave me a sense that I am never alone...  I just can't wait to see her... I am really thankful that He blessed our marriage with this pregnancy. I thank Him for blessing me with a fruit in my womb...

Family Day: Baby Bump on Week 20

Image
We had the best and most exciting Eat-All-You-Can lunch at City Buffet in SM City Fairview last Saturday. My father had just arrived from Guam, and it was the first time that he saw me after the wedding, and after knowing that I am now pregnant. =) Here's my father and me.. Lunch was fun, and all of a sudden, became my mom's birthday celebration. Although, her birthday is still on the 26th. We just found out that they also have these singing restaurant crews and a cake if you're with someone celebrating his/her birthday. So my father requested for it, too. Just for fun... ;p Here are some pics that I had with my hubby and my sister:   Hubby, me, and my tummy @ 5 months... =) yummy tempura with my sister Danica.. =) Hubby, Sister, and me... =) I do not have the food pics, but, I must say, this is one of the best buffet restaurant that we've tried so far. They serve different Asian Cuisines, we paid P399.00/ person from 12nn to 3pm, and it was ...

My BaBy BuMp!- Week 17

Image
My Body: I still weigh 133 lbs, and is expecting to gain few more pounds next week. Doctor advised me to take Obynal-M (multivitamins) and Trev-Iron (B-complex and Iron)  I always feel round ligament pain, typically experienced as aching and/or stabbing pains in the lower stomach and pelvic region and is most often reported at the end of the day. Ligament Pain is totally normal and is caused by the stretching of ligaments and muscles that support your ever-growing uterus. (Source: Baby Gaga on Facebook) Doctors advise sleeping on your left side, as lying on your back can compress your pelvic veins, decreasing blood flow to the lower half of your body. Lying on your left side relieves this pressure thereby allowing normal blood flow. (Source: Baby Gaga on Facebook) Before I've read this, I have found myself comfortable sleeping on my left side. Now I know the reasons why. =) They say Migraine/ Severe headache is also normal. That, sometimes I really can...

How My Pregnancy Changed Us.. =) (especially hubby)

Image
When I found out I was pregnant, I can't stop thinking of how my husband Nel would take the news. He was with me in the ER when the doctor confirmed my pregnancy. I was not so conscious about his reaction, because I was not able to control my own emotions. What I can remember is that he was playing the Itouch and just laughed at me when I cried. I was brought to the delivery room for another check up, and Nel was left outside. My mom and sister, who were very excited, went quickly to the hospital, and they were the ones who saw that smile on Nel's face. I found him a bit silent though. And I felt like he wasn't ready yet. I was thinking that he must be worrying too much on how to raise a child, and how to provide for me while I'm still pregnant.       My first trimester was really hard for me, and Nel. I can't do anything in the house. I wasn't able to do the things I used to do for him, like doing the grocery, laundry, e...

My BaBy BuMp! Week 16

Image
We planned to take my tummy pics weekly, but we totally forgot to do so. =) Until my sister Danica asked me to pose for her. My tummy just got obvious on my 16th week. Thanks to her, we already have one pic. Haha! Week 16: My Body: I now weigh 133 lbs, and I am not afraid to gain some more. I am absolutely okay, just by thinking that I am going through these changes for our baby. I am starting to have pimples on my face, hhhmmm.. I admit I feel bothered sometimes. =) But they say it's also normal. I thought I felt my tummy rumbling, but wow, it was undeniably, my baby moving! I felt quickening for the first time this week, and I was happy that my hubby also felt that. He was rubbing my tummy when we felt the quickening thing. I guess baby wanted both of us to feel that he/she is just inside. Our Baby: Our baby is about 4.5 inches and weighs 3.5 ounces. His head-to-body ratio is starting to even out, as the rest of their body - including their arms and legs...

You Can't Rush Pregnancy.

Image
Dear Husband, SUPPORT your wife. Please do not show her that you feel frustrated when her monthly period comes. Do not be impatient. Remember, fertile couples have 25% chance of getting pregnant per cycle. It can even take up to a year before you finally have a baby. I am a member of a local forum in the Philippines, where I get to read posts of women who where trying to conceive for many years. They do have different reproductive health concerns, most of them have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), some has Ovarian Cyst, clogged fallopian tubes, Ectopic Pregnancy, etc., but they are all in the same boat of TRYING to CONCEIVE. In a post where I replied the other day, I was worried about a certain woman. She was afraid to tell her husband about her reproductive health. They have been married for two years, she had an operation last year due to Ectopic Pregnancy. Sadly, her doctor told her that she only has 50/50 chances of getting pregnant again. She had herself checked this year, ...

On Being a Wife

Image
My life was so much different when I was single, living with my parents, my sister, and was just earning for myself. I used to think of what changes could possibly happen by the time I get married? What's better about being a wife than being a girlfriend? What makes being a wife special than being single? Well, being a wife is not that easy.  You have to stand by your husband even if the situations would hurt you sometimes. You would encounter problems that you never expected. =) I had to give up my job to make myself ready for pregnancy, a close, trusted friend unfortunately fooled us about money, and someone (sssh.. that's my hubby ;p), UNEXPECTEDLY lost his job. I got pregnant (blessing in the  middle of crisis.. ;p), and we had to deal with some other problems here and there. But, the best and happiest part about the problems, is when both of you are still together and STRONGER after you have surpassed the trials that came. My husband found a new job, we have started...

PCOS and Baby

Image
Nine years ago, I had been diagnosed to have PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, but, what does PCOS mean?        I started to feel uncomfortable when my monthly period stayed for two months straight. It was too light, that it comes only in the morning, and stops in the afternoon. I was afraid to ask my mom to accompany me to a doctor, so I went to an OB-Gyne by myself. I went to an OB-Gyne who knows my family, so I would be more comfortable during check ups. After some questions and family health background, she requested me to undergo a Transvi, or Transvaginal Ultrasound. This is a type of pelvic ultrasound used to look at a woman's reproductive organs, including uterus, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. It uses and internal probe or transducer for closer access to the structures that needs evaluation.        After my ultrasound, the doctor told me that I have this thing called PCOS. T...

Our Wedding Day

Image
Bride and MOH Flops... =) We wore these at the reception... Wedding rings and Invitation .. was really a nervous bride ..but my sister still asks me to pose for her.. =) with the wedding coordinators from GENLEE EVENTS. These girls were really a big help for the wedding. I didn't need to worry about the wedding stuffs on the day itself. Ms. Gen, the business owner was also very friendly and accommodating. I actually hired their service for "on the day coordination", but she guided me all through out my planning. whew! I'm so nervous... My parents are all set for the event.. =) can't wait to see my groom... =) My Dearest... =) The wedding was really great. All the things were handled properly by our coordinator. Wonderful songs for the reception were performed by SJT Strings. Our Emcee, Maycee c/o Genlee Events was a big transformation from the hotel to the reception. I loved how she hosted the program. Hubby and I were j...
